Bahrain Mirror: A Bahraini court adjourned the case of prisoner of conscience Khalil Al-Halwachi, along with 14 others detainees, until December 12, with his continued detention.
This is the 20th time the court adjourns his case. The court was supposed to issue its verdict in his case, however, it delayed the case and on the following session it opened the door of pleading again to listen to the attesting witnesses.
Activist Fatima Al-Halwachi said that the court postponed the session to December 12 to listen to the prosecution witnesses (attesting witnesses), expressing her concern that her father would be subjected to maltreatment after leaving the court for doubting the integrity of the judiciary.
It is mention that Al-Halwachi has been held in the pre-detention center since 2 years and that he is not completely healthy due to his old age. The authorities, however, refuse to release him under any bail they deem adequate.
