Bahrain Mirror: Three people were killed in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, including a Bahraini national, after Saudi special forces opened fire on a vehicle they were pursuing on Friday (July 21, 2017).
The victims of this attack were Jaafar bin Hassan Makki Al Mbairik (Saudi national), Hassan bin Mahmoud Ali Abu Abdullah (Bahraini national) and Sadiq Abdullah Mahdi Al Darwish (Saudi national).
A statement issued by the Saudi Interior Ministry claimed that the three martyrs were behind the deaths of eight soldiers.
The statement further alleged that the three men initiated gunfire at the government forces, who were as a result required to respond.
Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province has been in turmoil for years after a widespread popular movement demanding the rights of the Shiite population in the oil-rich country.
