Bahrain’s King Approves State Budget with Deficit Exceeding 3 Billion BD

Bahrain Mirror: The King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, approved the state's general budget for the two fiscal years 2015/2016.

The state's revenues in the budget of the two fiscal years 2015 and 2016 is estimated at 4,274,863,000 Bahraini dinars (four billion two hundred seventy-four million eight hundred and sixty-three thousand dinars) and the state's overall expenditure is estimated at 7,284,136,000 dinars (seven billion two hundred eighty-four million one hundred and thirty-six thousand dinars). However, the state's recurrent expenditure in the budget of the two fiscal years is estimated at 6,374,136,000 dinars (six billion three hundred seventy-four million and one hundred thirty-six thousand dinars).

The state's projects expenditure in the budget of the two fiscal years is estimated at 910,000,000 dinars (nine hundred and ten million dinars); 445,000,000 dinars for 2015 and 465,000,000 dinars for 2016.

The amounts from oil revenues pumped into the reserve account of the future generations in the budget of the two fiscal years is estimated at 41,282,000 dinars. Meanwhile, the budget deficit is estimated at 3,009,273,000 dinars (three billion nine million two hundred and seventy-three thousand dinars).
